Best Airbnbs in Columbus, Ohio for Weddings
Let’s talk getting ready spaces! I know this task is probably at the bottom of your list, but where you get ready on the morning of your wedding matters more than you might think! If you’ve ever looked at or pinned those magical getting ready photos, you need a space with character and natural light! And photos aside, having a cozy space where you can spread out and feel comfortable in can totally affect the vibe of the morning.
If you don’t have access to your venue or a home for getting ready, I always suggest Airbnbs! Here are some things to look for when booking your space:
Natural light. If you’ve pinned some really cute getting ready photos on Pinterest, chances are they were taken in a clean + naturally lit space. If you’re getting ready in a preschool room at your church, your photos won’t look like those magical ones you’ve seen. Natural light is so important!
Space. There will probably be more people around on the morning of your wedding than you initially anticipated. All your wedding party, some family members, and a few hair and makeup artists. Feeling cramped and on top of everyone can make things stressful - you need room to spread out! Make sure your space has multiple mirrors and enough space for everyone’s bags, dresses, etc.
Location. I would suggest picking a place that isn’t too far away from your venue so you don’t have to deal with transportation AND a place that fits the rest of the vibe of your wedding. Is your venue more modern and industrial? Pick a more modern Airbnb. Want to take some photos at the Airbnb before the ceremony? Make sure you find a place that has a cute outdoor area!
Convenience. An airbnb where your family and/or wedding party can stay the night before your wedding is the ultimate flex! Plus, I honestly think there’s nothing more fun than a giant sleepover with your girls before the best day of your life!
